About the exhibition
It’s an election year. America is more politically and
socially divided than at any time in recent memory. We are
beset with many different, but equally pressing, social and
political issues.
How do these issues find their way into your
art?
How does your art find its way into the larger political
and social discourse?
In America Now, to be mounted this summer in between
the Democratic and Republican conventions at the Don
O’Melveny Gallery in West Hollywood California, is a
national juried exhibition designed to investigate these matters
and provide exposure for artists across America to one of
the nation’s most concerned and engaged audiences.
Juror
Peter Frank is art critic for Angeleno magazine and
L.A. Weekly. He is also an internationally known writer and
curator.
